Wayne Douglas Rush passed away at the West Parry Sound Health Centre, on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021, in his 80th year.

Loving husband of Karen (nee Wayne) for 55 years. Devoted father of Jeffrey (Karen Oikonen), Heidi (Michael Oldenburg), and Laurie Rush. Cherished Papa of Karys, Sarah, Ryan, Cooper, Nicholas, Michelle, and Willow. Dear brother of Richard (Karen), and the late Everett. Predeceased by parents George and Theda. Fondly remembered by brother-in-law Brian (the late Sue), sisters-in-law Tanya (Ed), and Penny (Ken), nephews Andrew, Adam, niece Sarah and their families; extended family and many friends.

A sincere thank you to all the wonderful health care providers at Lakeland Long Term Care, and the Parry Sound Hospital.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held next summer in Parry Sound.

Donations in Wayne’s memory may be made to West Parry Sound Health Centre, or a charity of your choice.

I am so sorry to hear about Wayne. I loved this man, he was a great inspiration to me, and between him and his wife Karen, they made my job so easy, and enjoyable. I will miss him dearly. My sincere condolences to his family.
