VICTOR MOREL
Victor Gabriel Morel passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at Lakeland Long Term Care, on Monday, December 20th, 2021. Age 97 years.
Beloved husband of the late Teresa (Palen). Loving father of Michael (Marnie); Joanne Woolner (Larry); and Ken (Dawn). Loving Grandfather of Angela Woolner (Dustin), Alexander Morel (Shyra), Nikki Herbert (Brad), Dawn Brown, Joshua Woolner (Sarah), Aislinn Leonard (Justin). Cherished great grandfather of Chad, Morgan, and Casey Herbert, Jack and Evelyn Woolner, Ella and Hayley Leonard. Dear son of the late Ernest and Beatrice Morel. Loving brother of Mary and Ernie, and the late Enid, Gerry, Roger, Emile ‘Nig’, Teresa, Jerome, and Harry. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Victor was a WW II Veteran in the tank core, and was deployed in many countries. He was a long-standing member of the Knights of Columbus, a long-time employee of Canada Post, and enjoyed a wonderful retirement of travel, arts and crafts shows with his Cozy Comfort Lawn Chairs, and many family gatherings which were a special joy to him.
A sincere thank you to all of the wonderful health care providers at Lakeland Long Term Care.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Victor’s life will be held in the spring of 2022.
