Valerie Elaine Irwin, 65, of Chatham, Ontario, died peacefully with her sister by her side on Wednesday, September 30th, 2026.

Born on January 17th, 1961, in Parry Sound, she is predeceased by her parents Sherland and Verna Irwin, and by her brother James Irwin. Valerie will be greatly missed by her sister Penny MacDonald (Bill) and her brother Jeffery Irwin (Laurie). She will be fondly remembered by her nephew Paul Grant (Mandy), and nieces Megan and Katherine Irwin. Valerie will be also be missed by her great nieces and nephews.

Valerie is remembered for her happy personality, always smiling and laughing. She was very determined in life. This helped her regain partial independence after two massive strokes. She also applied it to any task she tackled in her hobbies and crafts. She enjoyed travelling with her family and she always spoiled the family dogs.

Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 81 James Street, Parry Sound on Tuesday, October 6th from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M.

Funeral Service will take place in the Logan Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, October 6th at 11:00 A.M.

Interment will follow at Christie Memorial Cemetery, Orrville, Ontario.
