Susan E. Land Cavanaugh passed away in Raleigh North Carolina at her home with her family by her side on Sunday April 30th 2006.
Age 50 years. Susan was born on February 3rd 1956 in Parry Sound and is the daughter of Ken and Eleanor Land. Susan was a dedicated and beloved mother and wife.
After her career in Physical Therapy she devoted her time to her two sons and their activities with school Cub and Boy Scouts. She served as a den mother and Cub Master for Pack 33 at Greystone Baptist and also volunteered at Troop 28 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Susan helped to coach soccer at the Finley YMCA. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Susan is survived by her husband John Cavanaugh her two sons Sean and Ryan Cavanaugh all of Raleigh; and
Her brothers Jim and Alan Land and sister Janice Land all of Parry Sound; and Terence Land of Gore Bay.
A Memorial Funeral Mass was celebrated in Raleigh N.C. on May 4th 2006.
A Service of Remembrance will take place at
St. James Centennial United Church in Parry Sound on Friday May 12th at 11 A.M. Family will receive visitors at the Logan Funeral Home 81 James Street Parry Sound on Thursday May 11th from 7 – 9 P.M.
