Stanley Alexander Scarr passed away after a courageous battle with sarcoma cancer at Princess Margaret Hospital Toronto on Sunday August 9th 2009. Age 78 years. Loving husband of Elaine Scarr (Shamess) for 53 years.
Lovingly missed by his sons Brook (Loretta) Scarr of Richmond Hill; Anthony (Lori) Scarr of Hamner; Taylor Scarr of Sault Ste. Marie; Tyler Scarr of Kitchener. Proud grandpa of Ryan Daniel Angela Trista Joey Cera Niall Logan and great grandpa of Kholden Trinity and Trevor. Beloved son of the late Catherine and Stanley Scarr. Dear brother of Margorie (late husband Alfred) Visentin; John (Grace) Scarr; Nora (Ross) Liscombe; Wayne (Leigh) Scarr; and the late Randy (Norma McCabe of Southampton). Fondly remembered by his nieces nephews other relatives and friends.
Retired CNR Conductor Longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #117 and poppy campaign chairman for many years. Member of Granite Masonic Lodge of Parry Sound and Waubuno Shrine Club. Active servant of God in Trinity Anglican Church. Community volunteer for underprivileged children and supporter of Esprit Place womenís shelter. Resting in the Logan Funeral Home where the family will receive visitors on Tuesday August 11th for a Masonic Service at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Service at the Trinity Anglican Church 6 Church Street on Wednesday August 12th at 2:00 P.M. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation for Sarcoma Research or the Trinity Anglican Church would be appreciated.
