Condolences
We are so sorry for the passing of your mom. It is extremely hard to fathom your mom and dad not living on this street. Your mom babysat our daughter Tara when she was little and we couldn't have found a better babysitter if we tried. She was more like a second mother to her. When we went to Nova Scotia we left Tara with your mom because we knew she would be in good hands and well cared for. You have lost 2 parents in such a short time but you will get through this. Sending our deepest condolences.
-George & Sylvia PhillipsI was saddened to hear of Shirley’s passing when my mom told me. Shirley babysat me when I was little and I always remember her being so nice and caring. She had a garden in the backyard and would let me eat peas from the pod. I also remember sneaking candies from her little candy bowl in the living room but eventually got caught by Shirley and my mom! She was the Block parent on our street also when I was young and I remember the sign in her window and my mom telling me to go there if I ever needed help. Thank you Shirley for the memories and being such a loving kind person. My condolences to all the family.
-Tara Koster (Phillips)Cindy, Kim and families, Sending my condolences. I have many memories of our families spending time together. Your mom , such a kind soul, she will be missed for sure. Deb Stevenson (Patterson)

-mikel fisherVery sorry to hear of Shirley's passing, my mom Shirley Hanna and her good friend Emily Pilgrim were still celebrating each other's birthdays making their rounds to each other's house after 50 plus years of friendship, they are going to miss her. R.I.P. Shirley, condolences to the family.
-Cathy Hanna BormannBill and Shirley were the best neighbours anyone could ever ask for. There wont be a day go by that we don’t look over and remember both of them. They were always busy about their day, whether Bill was shoveling the snow, cutting the grass, working in his shop, Shirley tending to the gardens, watering her plants, hanging out her laundry. We often talked about Jenny Wren nesting in one of the feeders Bill made in his workshop. On a hot day I loved sitting in the swing under the red maple they planted. They lived their lives to the fullest. They loved all their family, and kept us updated on their grandchildren’s growing. They are truly missed. Take care all💕 They were Queen Streets Best! Sending our deepest condolences.
-Marianne and Joe MoloneySorry to hear this. Shirley and Bill will always be remembered by the old neighbourhood kids. Their kindness will never be forgotten.
