Condolences

Such great memories of this woman growing up. My heart goes out to the family, especially my childhood friend Beth. These times are always hard, but knowing that she is with Pan again helps to bring some relief . Rest in peace, Mrs. Loch you were a wonderful woman with a smile no one could forget. ❤️

-Jennifer Beagan Alves

We are so very sorry for your loss. We got to know Nancy when she shared books with dad & taught him how to play bid euchre. But the best thing that her kindness brought to dad was a special relationship that gave him much joy. She generously gave us her warm smile & hugs. She always spoke lovingly of her family & was especially proud of her grandchildren. May you all find comfort in the wonderful memories you have & they sustain you in the difficult days.

Heartfelt condolences to the family and friends in the loss of Nancy. She was truly a woman of strength, conviction, faith, care, passion and love. When she moved to the Garden’s of PS with Pan she embraced it and made so many connections. She knew this was not the place she wanted to remain in and she was so excited a few years later to return to her family home. An inspiration to so many of us who got to know Nancy and we mourn her loss but celebrate the wonderful examples and gifts she gave so freely. May her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren cherish the loving memories and find peace in knowing she is watching them from above. Rest in peace Nancy.

Marie, Beth & Family – I’m very sad to hear the news of your mom’s passing. I have wonderful childhood memories of Nancy especially the trip to MacTier by train and her popcorn balls at Christmas. She always had time for a chat when we would meet on the street or at the Harvest Share community dinners. She was a lovely person. My deepest condolences to you both. Love Joy

My condolences to the family, especially the girls I used to babysit! My Father worked with Pan and Nancy at Lakeland Motors for most of their lives. Now I think the majority of them are in heaven. They will be there to help Mom celebrate her rebirth into the Kingdom of Heaven. Her cake will have one candle on it, but the cake will be the largest you have ever seen, half chocolate and half vanilla because she has so many wonderful family and friends there to greet her. You will be with them again someday. I totally believe that. It was your Mother’s Mother and the Lord who brought your Mom into the world and it’s your Mother’s Mother and the Lord who helped your Mom home to be with your Father and all those other family members and friends who went before her. There will be no more pain or indignities that Nancy endured in life. She was a beautiful, happy go-lucky, always smiling Mom. Her generation along with my Mother and Father’s generation were one of the best on Earth. They’re the ones that held the glue that kept everybody together. You will all miss Mom immensely, but like your Dad, they will never be that far away. God Bless you all as you grieve her loss, but they walk beside you everyday and you will always be in their hearts the same as all your life memories that you shared with each other will always be in your hearts and that’s how you keep them alive until you meet again when your journey on Earth ends.🙏🤗♥️

From the Pan Loch clan in BC,,,we send our love & condolences to all the Lochs & Mitchells. Pan (now 84) remembers singing Gounod’s Ave Maria at her wedding in Parry Sound as a 12 year old. Pan is grateful for the 6 weeks he spent during the haying season in Parry sound on the farm…which was one of the happiest times of his life. He knew the Mitchells from St Bridget’s Parish in Toronto…especially Nancy’s mother & brother Bill who were devout Catholics. We remember how faithful Nancy was to Kuni, her mother in law in her last stages. A special Mass is being offered for the repose of Nancy’s soul and we remember her in our prayers.

-Pan & Elizabeth Loch

On behalf of the Woods family we send our condolences. My dad thought the world of her and Pan, having worked with them for many years! Rest of us thought the same!! Such lovely people to brighten up our lives!

-Bob Woods

When I think of Nancy I remember her letting me stay over whenever I would run away from home (sorry mom and dad) and her sage advice (“Call your mother so she is not worrying!”). I would pick up the pink phone and call home while doodling on the chalk board and petting Jasper. Later in life after a late night at The Kip, I would always look forward to Nancy’s Tupperware container full of fresh meats and cheeses for my midnight snack. I wish I could run away from home one more time and get her guidance…
Love to the family,
Xoxo Laura

Mrs. Loch will be missed by so many. Such kindness and her beautiful smile. She always took time to have a little talk and to ask about my parents. As a Brownie many, many years ago, I went to her house to make tea in order to earn a badge. It is a memory that stays with me.
Thinking of her family.

Beth and Marie, I will always keep the memories of your mom in my heart. I first met Nancy while coaching you two girls. She and I sat together watching you both curl and I enjoyed our times together very much. Then we reconnected when she and my mom both lived at The Gardens. She helped my mom quite a bit learning how to play bid euchre and playing games with her. Mom got to know Nancy and enjoyed her company just like I did way back when. It was so nice to get to talk to her again after all those years. She was a great lady and she will be missed. My condolences to both of you and to your families.

To Marie, Beth and family: My sincere condolences on the passing of your Mom, Nancy. I have wonderful memories of her welcoming me into your home when I visited my grandparents during my summer holidays and I joined the other neighbourhood kids to go to the beach or play tag until we were called back home as night was falling. I will remember her infectious smile always. You may not see your Mom anymore but she hasn’t truly left you. She will always be there to comfort you when you need her. Just close your eyes and open your heart for her embrace. Deb Jones

I’m so thankful to have had Nancy in my life! She and Pan introduced Roy and I to the wonderful people of Cuba. I got to know and love Beth and Marie and their families and most recently spent every Monday night with Nancy for dinner (soup, jello and timbits) and scrabble. I will miss her jokes, her smile, and her friendship. Sincere condolences and best wishes to the Baileys, Hoods and Sister Betty as they process their loss and the incredible memories that they share!
