In the late 1990s my wife and I with 2 friends were motorcycling coast to coast across Canada, passing thru Parry Sound, when I had a severe tire failure. At a pay phone beside the highway I reached LeBlanc tire store. The woman answering the phone was unable to help with the tire that I needed, but this unbelievably helpful lady could tell me other stores that might be able to help me. I had no pen or paper. The woman said no problem, she would call the other stores and ask if they had my tire!!! After getting tire specs and details she searched and finally found a store in the next town that had my tire. No one would ever go to the lengths this woman had to find me a tire. I asked her name and over the last 25 years I have looked up Nancy LeBlanc in Parry Sound phone directories, wanting to send her a huge bouquet of flowers, or maybe send my….. or maybe send my story to a local newspaper hoping they would print a personal interest story. Well here I am 25 years late and a dollar short, regretting my inaction when I found your mom’s obituary. Well, David, I want you to know that your mom will never be forgotten by this American motorcyclist! May your mom rest in peace!
