It is with sadness that the family of Murray David Michaelis announces his peaceful passing at the West Parry Sound Health Centre, on Wednesday, June 17^th, 2026, at the age of 93.

Beloved husband of the late Enid Michaelis (nee: Rosewell), who predeceased him in March, 2025. Loving father of Mark Michaelis and his wife Julie; and Richard Michaelis. Cherished grandfather of Kayla Ramsay (Jordan), Kyle Michaelis, Mathew Michaelis (Jen), and Hannah Pilgram (Gideon). Loving great grandfather of Elaina and Eli Ramsay; Jamie Pilgrim; and Levi Michaelis. Pre-deceased by his twin brother Rodney Michaelis, and by his brother-in-law Lawrence and his wife Gwen Rosewell. Murray will be greatly missed by his brother-in-law Rod Rosewell and his wife Anne. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Murray can best be described as a man who faithfully loved his Lord, his wife, sons, and extended family, all who brought him an abundance of joy.

Murray worked hard for his entire career at McIsaac Fuels and really enjoyed when his duties involved piloting the Trimac and delivering fuel to resorts on the Georgian Bay. He loved to reminisce about the long days on the beautiful and sometimes treacherous waters.

Murray will be fondly remembered by his sons Mark and Richard who have fond memories of family time in their home on the Georgian Bay and various family vacations. His Grandchildren will miss his loving attention that often involved jokes and teasing.

Murray often spoke of going to heaven to be with his Saviour and beloved Enid and we know he has now reached that reward.

The family wishes to extend a sincere Thank You to Dr. Smith in Emergency at the West Parry Sound Health Centre, and  to the incredible nurses in Palliative Care. Thank You also to Dr. Madigan and the supportive staff at Lakeland Long Term Care for their care and compassion.

Resting at Bayside Family Church, 4 Parry Sound Drive, Parry Sound, where friends will be received on Monday, June 22^nd, 2026 from 11:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M.

Funeral Service will take place at Bayside Family Church on Monday, June 22^nd at 12:30 P.M.

Interment Hillcrest Cemetery.
