Muriel Jane King passed away peacefully at the Scarborough General Hospital, on Monday, September 29th, 2025. Age 79 years.

Loving mother of Luana McQuabbie, Tammy Nolin, Serena Nolin (Mark), Albert Nolin (Chantal) and the late Krista McQuabbie. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Dear daughter of the late Emma Jane King and Sam Pawis. Dear sister of Samuel Richard, Peter Ronald, Elmer Terry, Patricia Ann, Adam Henry, Earl Ivan Fabian, and the late Henry Walter, Mernie James, George Nelson, and Evelyn Ann. Beloved honourary sister to Richard King and the late Irwin King.

Resting at the Wasauksing Gathering Place, Wasauksing First Nation, where friends will be received from 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 2nd.

Funeral Service will take place at the Wasauksing Gathering Place on Friday, October 3rd at 11:00 A.M., followed by cremation.

Muriel’s ashes will be laid to rest at the French River Indian Reserve No. 13 (Pickerel) Cemetery with her late daughter Krista McQuabbie.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Henvey Inlet First Nation Food Bank would be appreciated.
