Margaret Edith (Werte) Marwood passed away peacefully on July 10th 2013 at Woods Park Care Centre Barrie. Age 85 years.

Beloved wife of the late Harry Marwood with whom she shared a love of Georgian Bay and many wonderful trips aboard their tugboat Phoebe. Loving mother of Rob (Bev) Jamey (Susan) Ian (Darlene) Mary (Keith) and Susan (Bill). Proud grandmother of Shaun Sara Matt Erin Amy and Eric and great-grandmother of Jacey Bruce and Jaxon. Dear sister of Cathie Henders (Dick) and Aunt Marg to Rick Greg Nancy and Jo. Fondly remembered by her extended family; Julie Edmund and son Jeremy and Jennifer Tom and son Scott.

Margaretís smile always brightened a room. A kind caring person she brought out the best in people. Margaret was a participant in life to its fullest taking an interest in all around her and contributing her time to others. Margaret shared her love of swimming with many whether it was teaching the kids down the beach how to swim or coaching synchronized swimming. Her daily summer swim in Georgian Bay kept her young. She inherited her love of music from her father Gordon and received joy when singing in the choir at church playing her piano or teaching others how to play. Her keyboard accompanied many of their adventures aboard Phoebe. Margaret was a treasure who will be missed by her family and friends. In return Margaret felt truly blessed by the life she lived.

Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home 81 James Street Parry Sound (705-746-5855) on Friday July 19th between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M.

A Celebration of Margaretís Life will be held at St. James Centennial United Church 24 Mary Street Parry Sound on Saturday July 20th at 11:00 A.M. Reception to follow.
