LYNDA GREEN
Lynda Gail Green (Hamilton) passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at the West Parry Sound Health Centre, on Monday, June 3rd, 2024. Age 75 years.
Beloved high-school sweetheart and wife of John G. Green for 53 years. Loving mother of John H. Green and his wife Erin. Cherished Nana of Caitlin. Dear sister of Rhonda Hamilton, and Richard Hamilton and his wife Charlene. Sister-in-law of Jim Green and his wife Donna. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Growing up in Leaside, Toronto, due to the alphabetical seating arrangement, John was luckily assigned the seat in front of Lynda in class – the rest is history! They were married in 1970, and started their business together in 1990. They retired in 2012, spending their summers in Parry Sound, and their winters in Fort Myers, Florida. Lynda was known for her love of gardening and shopping. She was a kind soul with a huge heart, and always put others before herself.
Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home on Friday, June 14th from 11:00 A.M. -12:00 noon.
A Celebration of Lynda’s Life will take place in the Logan Memorial Chapel on Friday, June 14th at 12:00 noon. Reception to follow.
Private family interment at Hillcrest Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
