Laura Violet Emerson, age 54, passed away peacefully at the WPSHC on Thursday June 24, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer, her husband and daughter by her side.

Beloved wife and best friend of Tim Emerson. Cherished mom of Sarah Emerson (Tanner Koroll). Treasured daughter of Isabella and the late Bill Emerson. Loving sister of Dan Emerson (Stephanie). Much loved sister in law of Terry Emerson (Janice) and Carrie McNaught Carlton and also to David Carlton. Dear daughter in law of Carol McNaught (late Harold). Loving aunt of Liberty, Courtney, Chelsey, Will, Andrew, Samantha and their families. Laura will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A celebration of Laura's life will take place at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to WPSHC Palliative Care, Rotary House Lodge in Barrie, or the cancer unit at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie.
