I remember June as a loving mother growing up and hanging out with her sons a bit, if they got into trouble while you were with them you were in trouble too, that’s the way it was then. All of her hours spent at the hockey rink with Paul and Mike showed her devotion as those were the two I mostly hung out with.

My mother Kittie-Marie was in the room next to your beautiful June at Belvedere for the last 2.5 years. June always greeted me with a smile and a joke or a good story. My mother has dementia, but June understood and would chat with her, making her feel included in the “action” in the common area by the unit. She looked out for my mum, telling me about how she had been that day. Sometimes she would come out to the front room with us, and tell great stories about her life in Parry Sound. She had a wonderful spark and sweetness that made everyone happy to chat with her. She will be missed by the other residents and their families. Most sincerely, Emily Fells

My Aunt June has lived 90 rich years of life with zest , creativity and compassion. It seemed she was always ready for an adventure, and at the same time learned to navigate crisis in life.
I appreciated how you Paul took steps to guide your Mom at the necessary time from her apartment living to Belvedere Heights. The closing years of one’s life are precious and deserve that dignity. The news of her passing onto God came to me when l was about to head out for a cross country ski. It was a gift to me to enjoy the outdoor beauty in her honour and send her off with love. A great party in heaven will ensue l am sure! And l have the memory of an Aunt who loved me and loved to cross country ski.

Such a kind sweet lady who had an iron fist when needed. She was one of my Moms closest friends and I loved teasing her and getting her wound up. She was great at countering. A very compassionate person helping everyone as she could. My prayers I lift up for her souls and her family.
