JOHN SMITH
John Edmund Smith passed away peacefully with family by his side, at the West Parry Sound Health Centre, on Tuesday, July 4th, 2023. Age 80 years.
Beloved husband of Elizabeth for 54 years. Dear father of Stephen and his wife Lucy; Jennifer Hurd and her husband Chris; and Michael. Dear Grandpa of Ryan and Jacob; and Tracy, Cooper and Bryce. Also remembered by Lucy’s children Derek and Andrea, and by their children Anjolina, Logan and Jayda. Dear brother of Carol Beattie (Bob); and Diane Roe (Gene). Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
As was John’s wish, cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation, the McKellar Fire Department (cheque only please), or Health Sciences North would be appreciated.
Condolences
Although we only knew John briefly since moving to McKellar in 2016 he was a good friend & neighbour. His wealth of knowledge & kindness helped us settle into our new community, with his smiling face always a welcome sight. He will be solely missed. Rest in Peace John.
