My deepest condolences to family and friends. I met John in Fort Severn, Ontario, on the Hudson Bay coast, where John and others were working to repair the venerable freighter canoe. We had many subsequent Facebook exchanges. His humour had me laughing out loud many times. May the next stage of his journey on to the spirit world be marked by gentle winds and calm waters.
