March 7th 1924 – June 24th 2012

John Robert Craig passed away peacefully June 24th 2012 with his family by his side at Belvedere Heights Parry Sound.

Beloved husband of Scotty Craig. Dear father to Bob (Bev) Jamey (Susan) Ian (Darlene) Mary (Keith) and Sue (Bill). Cherished grandfather of Shaun Sara Matt Erin Amy Eric and great-grandfather to Jacey and Bruce.

Affectionately known to many as Big Johnny. John proudly served his country in World War II. John was an active Shriner for many years in both Parry Sound and Thunder Bay. John also influenced and shaped many young minds as a teacher at Parry Sound High School from 1960-65 and Hillcrest High School in Thunder Bay from 1966-1985 where he also coached both downhill and cross-country ski teams. John shared his love of sports with his family as they all enjoyed many years of skiing together in Thunder Bay and family ski trips to Banff. Summers were spent together at the family cottage in Parry Sound.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday June 30th 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Logan Funeral Home.
