Condolences

Our deepest sympathies to Cathy & family. We have lost a true friend. Fishing and card games at the Key will never be the same. Jim's knowledge of the area and his fishing traits have been passed on to many and we will always have him in our thoughts when we are at the Key River.

Jim was one of the big personalities in this life, full of so many adventures and always willing to lend a hand to a friend. My life has been richer for having known him. My deepest sympathy to all. He will surely be missed.

Our hearts are broken within the Shields, Conti and Brady families. He was such a great big brother and took that title very seriously. He was protective of the ones dear to him. He has many friends close by and many more from across the border..and all will miss him terribly. He would never back down from an argument, and knew his own mind. It was always a great time playing Euchre with him as a partner, nothing in his hand, and would always get the point with a big bang on the table for the last card. As we go through this terrible time as a family, pls remember Jim (Jamie) in the best of times. Love your baby sister, Emily

-Emily Conti

Please accept my Condolences at this time. I remember Jim from his time as a signal maintainer for C.P Rail when I was Agent-Operator at Franz, Ontario in the 1980's. Jim was living at Missanabie at the time.

Cathy, words cannot express how sad we feel. We are thinking of you so much at this time. Out of the limited times Trevor and I could actually make it up in the past years I could always count on the warm hug i always received. I cannot imagine what the Key will be like without him.
Unimaginable.
