John Byron Crookshank – WWII Veteran 8th Canadian Reconnaissance 14th Hussars R.C.L. Br. 117 passed away peacefully with family by his side at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Tuesday May 12th 2009.
Age 86 years.
Beloved husband of the late Christina (Mackenzie) Crookshank.
Loving father of Steven and his wife Judy;
Alex and his wife Joyce (Watkinson);
Lorna-Ruth and her husband Wendell Morgan all of Parry Sound; Phillip and his wife Brenda of Mississauga; and Ann Crookshank and her husband Bjarne Israelsen of Etobicoke.
Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Stephanie (Clint) Hurd; Jennifer (Adam) Hatfield; Michael (Joy) Crookshank;
Matthew Crookshank (Brianne Wells); Emily Crookshank (Alfred Ng); Sofia and Clare Israelsen; Mackenzie-Beth and Frazer Morgan; Sam Molly and Lucy Crookshank and
7 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by his brothers Glenroy and Stewart.
Fondly remembered by his other relatives and friends.
Family will receive visitors at the Logan Funeral Home on Tuesday May 19th between the hours of 12:00 – 1:00 P.M.
A Celebration of Jackís life will follow in the
Logan Memorial Chapel at 1:00 P.M.
