Herbert James Thompson passed away at the West Parry Sound Health Centre, on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023. Age 87 years.

Predeceased by his wife Geneva Thompson in 1985, and beloved husband of Karen Thompson. Dear father of Anne Marie Thompson, Herbert Jr., and Eric (Candy). Stepfather of Jordan Reimer. Loving Grandpa of Asher. Herb was pre-deceased by his father, Austin and his mother Ena Thompson. Dear brother of Arnold (Catherine) and Kenneth and the late Roy (Eileen), Marguerite (Clarence Holmes), Doreen (Ralph Irwin), Irene (Herman Irwin), Elizabeth (Ralph Irwin), Gerald (Patricia), and Mary Gwen (Eric Lawson). Herb will be greatly missed by the Lavigne family, and by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

As was Herb’s wish, cremation will take place.

A celebration of Herb’s life will take place at a later date.

Interment Hillcrest Cemetery this fall.
