Helen Agnes (Farr) Peachey passed away peacefully at Linhaven Home for the Aged in St. Catharines Ontario on Thursday October 12th 2006 at 86 years of age. She has come home to rest beside her parents – Arkell and Agnes Farr (deceased). Wife of Derrick Peachey (deceased World War II 1944).
Loving Mother of Warren and Meredith; Bill and Carol. ‘Nanny’ will be sadly missed by her Grandchildren Debbie (Nadra) Warren Guadalupe and Michael; and her Great-Grandchildren – Derrick Miguel and Jacob Peachey as well as her many Nieces and Nephews. Dear sister of Bill Farr (deceased) and Isobelle Francis Shamess (Albert – deceased) Laura Lankin (Dennis – deceased) Arkell Farr (Elizabeth – deceased). Helen spent many years in Parry Sound and Depot Harbour as a dedicated volunteer member of the Catholic Women’s League (Past President) as well as her daily visits to patients at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Her many friends and customers of Kenny’s Shoe Store will remember her ‘sunshine smile’ greetings as well as the ‘Girl’s Parties at the cottage’. She often spoke of her fond memories of Parry Sound and Depot Harbour and the fun she had being ‘Sequin Sarah’ at the Winter Carnival. Her family extends sincere thanks to all the Staff and volunteeers at Linhaven Home for the Aged in St. Catharines especially on Dalhousie and Henley Wards for their professional and personal care of Helen during her stay with them.
