Gary McKinley passed away peacefully at home, on Friday, August 30th, 2024. Age 81 years.

Beloved husband of the late Karen McKinley (née Jennings). Loving father of Kerry (Darlene), Tracy, and the late Trevor (Christine). Cherished Grandpa of Meaghan (Josh), Brandon (Zabrina), Gillian, and Nicholas. Great Grandpa “Gramps” of Jayce and Aiden. Gary will be forever missed by his dear friend Glenna. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Gary was happiest while sharing his love of music – especially playing for others. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing in both Parry Sound and Manitoulin Island.

As was Gary’s wish, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Gary’s life will take place at Christie Memorial Cemetery on Friday, September 13th, at 1:00 P.M.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the West Parry Sound Health Centre would be appreciated.

I knew Gary all my life, we hunted fished and played lots of music over the years ,he will be sadly missed by any one who knew him. Our condolences go out to the family and his dear friend Glenna Hoddy.

I am so grateful that I spend some quality time with Gary this summer. There were many stories and memories shared with Gary and Glenna, along with laughs and tears. Kerry, Tracy and I will be sharing stories for many years to come. Rest in peace Gary.

We send our love to Kerry and Tracy. We will always remember the good music, fishing, hunting and funny jokes we enjoyed with Gary. As friend and family he will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Gary at Seguin Valley and enjoyed his company at work, while golfing, and during a fun boat trip to Henry’s. My condolences to his family. He was a kind and generous man. Enjoy the 19th hole, Gary.
