GARFIELD WAYNE KING
Garfield Wayne King, affectionately known as Wayne, passed away peacefully at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, on Saturday, August 1st, 2026. Age 77 years.
Loving son of the late Jackson and Bessie (Williams) King. Dear brother of Harvey Daniel King (the late Doris), Cynthia King, and the late Una, Janet, Patricia, Larry, and Jackson Jr. Beloved father of step-daughter Jodie, and daughter Melina. Also remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends – especially Colin, and Ken and his family.
Resting at the Logan Funeral Home, where friends will be received on Friday, August 7th from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Funeral Service will take place in the Logan Memorial Chapel on Friday, August 7th at 2:00 P.M. Burial Wasauksing Cemetery, followed by reception at the Gathering Place.

When I was thirteen I learned a couple of guitar chords in the key of D. Wayne asked me to show them to him. Two weeks later he had figured on his own that songs sounded better using three chords. He didn’t stop there. I slowed down, he didn’t. Great memories of them. Sympathies to all of the family.

Having Wayne as a friend was a true gift. When we met 12 years ago after I joined Oral Roberts Ministry, we hit it off immediately. As a dedicated member of our prayer team, Wayne eagerly ministered to so many, helping them find hope and a brighter future. Even in the face of his own personal challenges, his kindness, deep love for people, and genuine care for his family and friends always shone through. Wayne was a profound blessing in my life, and I will miss him dearly.
