Flora Whalen nee:Giles (member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #256 – P.G.M. of Ontario; member and past president and unit leader for over 20 years of St. James Centennial United Church Women (UCW); President (2003) and member of the Probus Club) passed away at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Thursday March 8th 2012.

Beloved wife of the late Don Whalen. Loving sister of the late T. Norman Giles; Nellie Redfern and Viola Cowan. Dear sister in law of Wilda Whalen (late Cecil) of Parry Sound; and Ruth Giles of Peterborough. Dear aunt of Jo-Anne Whalen of Parry Sound; David Douglas (deceased) Donald and Ruthie Giles and their families all of Peterborough; Aleata May of Huntsville Alan Cowan and their families all of Scarborough. Fondly remembered by her other relatives and friends

Friends will be received at the St. James Centennial United Church on Wednesday March 14th 2012 between the hours of 11:30 A.M – 1:00 P.M. Funeral Service to take place in St. James Centennial United Church at 1:00 P.M. preceded by a Service of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #256. Interment of ashes to take place at Hillcrest Cemetery.
