ENID MICHAELIS

It is with sadness that the family of Enid Michaelis announces her peaceful passing at Lakeland Long-Term Care, on Friday, March 7th, 2025, one month shy of her 95th birthday.

Beloved wife of Murray Michaelis for 70 years. Loving mother of Mark Michaelis and his wife Julie; and Richard Michaelis. Cherished grandmother of Kayla Ramsay (Jordan), Kyle Michaelis, Mathew Michaelis (Jen), and Hannah Pilgram (Gideon). Loving great grandmother of Elaina and Eli Ramsay. Enid will be greatly missed by her surviving brother Rod Rosewell and his wife Anne; and by her sister-in-law Gwen Rosewell. Predeceased by her brother Lawrence Rosewell. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Enid as a wife, mother, family member, and friend had boundless energy. Enid never missed an opportunity to express her love in many ways to family, friends, and at church functions -- especially through preparing delicious meals and baking mouth-watering desserts.

Her love for her Saviour was genuine and through being active in various ministries of the church she demonstrated that love for her Lord and others for over 80 years. Jesus was number one in her life, and her faith was strong and unwavering. Through innumerable acts she made it clear that family and faith are what really mattered to her.

She was a long-time employee with Dominion and the A&P food stores and between work and the church made many long-standing friendships and wonderful memories.

She was blessed with a very long life and as a family, we are thankful for the love she gave, and for every minute we had with her. She will be missed!

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank-you to Dr. Gray and the staff of the Georgian Bay unit at Lakeland Long Term Care for their kindness and compassion.

Enid was a wonderful kind person and will be greatly missed. Her door was always open and loved to have you drop in. We enjoyed many times of fellowship around her table talking and laughing together.

Murray, Rick and Mark,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. I can't remember every memory from our youth, but there are some memories that will never be forgotten, like Enid introducing ginger ale and Welch's grape juice on a hot summer day....WOW!!! Still mix that to this day. This world needs more people like Enid..., it would be such a better place. You were all blessed to have had so many years together....now just cherish the memories and let them bring smiles to your faces.
