With profound sadness the family of Betty Kyl Heku (nÈe Csok) announce that she passed away peacefully in Parry Sound on June 19 2011. She left us much too soon at the age of 79.

Beloved wife of the late James. Loving mother of Liisa. Cherished sister of Helen Muir. Dear aunt of Susan Thomas and Judy Behan and their families. Fondly remembered by her many friends.

We would also like to express our profound gratitude to Wally Reekie Annette Prosser and their families for their friendship and many kindnesses.

Betty Kyl-Heku loved deeply and lived vividly. We celebrate her life and grieve her passing. She was a gifted soprano who was fiercely proud of her Hungarian heritage. Throughout her career as a medical social worker and through her activities as a passionate arts patron she touched many lives and contributed much to the Parry Sound community and beyond.

At her request there will be no public funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers donations to the Festival of the Sound(www.FestivalOfTheSound.ca) made in her memory would be appreciated.
