EILEEN NEIST
Eileen Neist, 76, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025, in Parry Sound, Ontario. Born in Montreal, Quebec in 1949, she was the beloved daughter of the late Donald and Winnifred Lynch.
Eileen will be lovingly remembered for her generous spirit, creative talents, and warm sense of humor. She shared a devoted marriage with her husband, George Neist, and was a cherished mother to Melissa Gorham (Sean) and Victoria Neist (David). She also leaves behind her sister, Linda Legault (Claude), and many dear friends.
A talented baker and skilled crafter, Eileen found joy in sharing her handmade creations, whether through a delicious dessert, a cozy knit, or a beautifully tended garden. Her home was a place of laughter, love, and welcome.
Eileen’s kindness, creativity, and joyful heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
As was Eileen’s wish, cremation has taken place.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
In memory of Eileen, and in lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer Society Hamilton Halton would be appreciated.

Eileen and I met a few years before I started working with her at Ernie’s Meat Market. I really got to know her working beside her as her assistant. She taught me so much in those few years. We always enjoyed our days together, at work and at our annual New Years day get togethers. Everyone would ask if Eileen and George would be attending, as she always brought yummy treats and lots of laughs. I will treasure those happy times. And I will miss my friend. Laurie and Mike
