Douglas Howard Theodore Wellington WWII Veteran R.C.L. Br. 117 passed away peacefully at Belvedere Heights
on Sunday December 28th 2008.
Age 86 years.
Loving son of the late William and Maggie Wellington.
Beloved husband of Joy and the late Muriel Ewen and Laura Powell.
Loving father of Doreen and her husband Rick Buchan of Port Perry;
Donna and her husband Gord Hutchinson of Toronto; Delia and her husband Pat Reed of Castlegar B.C.; Douglas (Debbie) Wellington of Parry Sound; Donna Newton of Orillia; Bonita (Mark) Brunelle; and the late Deborah.
Fondly remembered by Joyís family Lorna (Gary) Kennedy of Sundridge; Ted (Trish) Forbes of Rosseau; Jenny (Dave) Hillis of Kitchener; John (Brenda) Forbes of Parry Sound.
Douglas will be dearly missed by his 19 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Dear brother of Donald (Nan); Sadie (husband the late Fred Crossman); and brother in-law of Mel Harris (wife the late Jennie) and his fiancÈ Effie Peters of Parry Sound. Predeceased by his other 16 brothers and sisters.
Fondly remembered by his nieces nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at the Logan Funeral Home on Wednesday December 31st at 11:00 A.M.
Family will receive visitors on Tuesday December 30th from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 P.M.
Interment Hillcrest Mausoleum and Cemetery.
