We have greatly enjoyed knowing Doug for over 48 years since we first visited Bay Finn in the winter of 1978, and borrowed his snow machines to get out to the bay to decide if we wanted to purchase it. His superb stewardship of the family’s marina business has kept us feeling well served and protected these many years. It was always a pleasure to chat for a while at the marina when arriving at or leaving the bay, as Doug always had great stories to tell. We know he loved fishing, and we also enjoyed many a late autumn duck hunt out on the shoals with him.

I have known Mr. Wriight most of my life and have life long friendships with both Kim and Karrie. From our Family to yours our thoughts and prayers are with you all. About knowing Mr. Wright: He was Kim’s dad and that was that. And it was more in his later years that I actually had more conversations with Mr. Wright about many topics like aging, fishing, lines changes. Uncle Doug was the best uncle ever, and one of the best humans ever. The memories made with him will be with me forever.
