Husband of Hazel (nee Marshall). Father of Marnel Nelson (Michael Falvo), and Marshall (Joyce) Nelson. Papa to Trepany, Mary-Grace (Steve), Bryce, Stapley (Evan) Falvo, and Ethan Nelson. Brother of Betty Nelson-French. Brother-in-law of Verta Mahood and Lynda Marshall. Uncle of Casey, Jonathan and Quenby Mahood, Jewelle Schiedel-Webb and Juanita Moore. Remembered by other relatives and friends.
Private family interment at Hillcrest Cemetery.

What a force majeure Doug was for the entire family. He could always be relied upon for sage advice and was an expert Mr. Fix-It. His sense of humour was a gift he shared with all those around him. Petits pois can’t truly be enjoyed without thinking of Doug.
