We are deeply saddened to report the passing of our dear Doris in her 86th year after a brief hospitalization at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie.

She spent her last days with her husband of 65 years Fred never leaving her side. Daughters Susan Leach (with Steve Leach) and Joni Daniels (with Chris Wardman) joined their father in his loving vigil. Doris is also survived by her grandsons Jeff Leach (Sabrina Drover) and Matt Leach (Erynn Johnson) her great grandchildren Cohen and Scarlett and her sibling Vivian Owen Betty and Marjorie (with their partners and families).

She will be remembered fondly by Debbie and Les Hill and family and by her Church Family and the staff and volunteers at the West Parry Sound Health Centre where she manned the gift shop for more than 20 years.

After a private cremation a Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church 58 Seguin Street in Parry Sound at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday March 22nd 2009 followed by a reception at the Church. All are welcome. Doris will be sadly missed and happily remembered by the great many people whose lives she touched.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the West Parry Sound Health Centre Auxiliary through the WPSHC Foundation.
