DON McINNES
Don McInnes passed away peacefully with his family at his side on January 27th, 2024 at the West Parry Sound Health Center. Beloved husband of Theresa for over fifty years. Don was a proud member of the OPP, serving at both Parry Sound and Sebringville detachments before retiring as Staff Sergeant from the Exeter detachment.
Don was one of those exceptionally rare people whose selflessness helped us all see the world in a better way. He was unfailingly kind, and taught us how important it is to listen to a friend, play catch with a child, and make sure everyone always has a safe ride home.
“Pa” is forever loved and remembered by his family: Brian, Christie, Tony, Eva, and Lili. Lovingly remembered by his brother Bob and family. A celebration of Don’s life will be held at a later time.
Donations in his honour may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

-Jack HarknessTheresa and family - I will always remember Don as the best male volunteer we had at the Friendship Centre - close with Manley! He wholeheartedly put himself into all tasks until they were all done. I loved it when I knew he would be working with us because he made the environment so warm with his kind and willing ways. I’m sure he was this way in all that he did for his family and community. He was deeply loved and will be remembered for his good ways. It was an honour to work with Don. I am very sad to hear about Don's passing. I was very touched when you introduced me to him at the National Gallery in Ottawa when he came to see Brian's performance. I remember his handshake well and the kindness that he expressed, even in that brief interaction. Sending our very best wishes and condolences to your family.
