Condolences

I can’t believe I am writing this message about my dear friend, Debbie – one of the most creative, spirited and loving people I have ever had the pleasure to call a friend. Her joy of life was powerful – her playful nature contagious. She was a character with brilliant Bohemian style. She loved Frida Kahlo, Vincent Van Gogh, Marc Chagall and Gustav Klimt. It was Bert Weir who recognized her spark of brilliance and encouraged her to create inspired, original artworks. Debbie loved and was loved. That part of her will stay with me. I will miss her.

So sad to hear of Debbie. She and Chance were part of our friend group when our kids were young. We remember the fun Halloween party at her house. What a great loss. I had the privilege of belonging to a group that Debbie did. For a couple years we met at the Station Gallery and everyone worked on their pieces. Debbie taught me so much.
