DAVID MISSABIE
David Missabie passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025. Age 64 years.
Beloved son of the late Joseph and Beryl Missabie. Dear brother of the late Gloria, Evelyn, Melvin, and Glen. Cherished uncle of Eternity Missabie, Anna Black, and Raymond Black. Fondly remembered by his dear friends Alfreda McQuabbie and Anna (Jackson) Cole, and everyone at S & N Convenience. David will be forever missed by his cats Miss Magoo, Misty, and Baby Dumpling. A special “Thank You” to the nurses and staff in the dialysis unit at Health Sciences North.
Resting at the family home, 65 Beckanon Road, Henvey Inlet First Nation, where the family will receive visitors from 10:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 27th. A service in celebration of David’s life will take place on Thursday, March 27th at 1:00 P.M.
Interment Beckanon Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

I was heartbroken when I was finally told this news after weeks of asking about him. He was my dialysis partner almost every day up until he got sick earlier this year. When he came back, we seemed to both be all over the place, but had a little celebration when we we’d be together. Dialysis will never be the same without you, David. I will continue to think of you every time I wrap myself up in the blanket poncho you bought for me because, as you said, I am “always so cold”. Soar with the eagles, my friend. I miss your smile, your laugh, your sense of humour, but most of all I miss you and your presence. May you be out of pain and discomfort and may peace be around you for forever more.

Dave, I only got to know you over the past 2 1/2 years, but we have become good friends while travelling back and forth to Sudbury together. You are a funny guy and I enjoyed our joking around. Even on days one of us would be grumpy, we would both be laughing and smiling by the time we got to Sudbury. Kim, Dave, Lynda and myself will miss you.
