It is with heavy hearts that the family of Carol Lynne Fivey, announce her passing at Belvedere Heights on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024. Age 80 years.

Carol leaves behind her husband of 59 years, Richard Fivey; son Jeffrey (Paula), and her daughter Jodi Hinksman (Curtis). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Christine Thompson (Wade), Stephanie Fivey, Kate-Lynne and Chris Hinksman. Dear Great Nana of Violet and Teddy. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Geraldine Carter, and by her sister Elizabeth Lackner (Frank). Survived by her eldest sister Margaret Kruseley.

Carol earned her degree in Business at Ryerson. During her career, she travelled across Canada supervising the building of many new restaurants and modernizing others for two major food chains. Carol was an excellent swimmer and enjoyed boating on the Great Lakes in the summer. She also enjoyed snowmobiling. Her favorite places to go were to her cottage in Parry Sound and to Barbados in the winter. She had been living at Belvedere Heights nursing home for the past two years.

Alzheimers took Carol away from us far too early. She was loved by her family and friends. Now that Carol has passed, her absence leaves a void in the family. A person is mortal, but love for them has no end.

The Fivey and Hinksman families extend a sincere Thank You to the caregivers at Belvedere Heights for their ongoing support.
