BRENDA BALDACKIN

Brenda Baldackin
1956 – 2024

It is with deep sadness that the family of Brenda Reid/Baldackin announce her passing on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024 at Lakeland Long Term Care. Age 68 years.

Loving wife of Robert ‘Bob’ Provost, and the late Russell Baldackin. Dear mother of Chuck and Mary-Ellen. Lovingly remembered as ‘Ma Bear’ by her grandchildren, Rowan, Riley, Raelyn, and Nash. Missed by her cat Cali.

Brenda spent her younger years working on the farm, managing the household, and raising her children. After her first husband passed away, Brenda took some time to travel the eastern U.S. and lived in, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Florida, and New York. Brenda met and married her second husband Bob before returning home to Parry Sound to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Brenda was an amazing home cook and a very talented singer. Brenda knew the words to every country song written and would often sing her way through the day. She had a great sense of humour and was always up for a spontaneous adventure. Her family has many fond memories of hours driving the backroads and singing along. Brenda loved nature and spent as much time as she could enjoying the outdoors. She was a loving and compassionate person who has touched the lives of many. Brenda loved her family dearly and she will be greatly missed. We commend Brenda to the blessing of the God and Goddess, that she may rest, free from illusion or regret, until the time shall come for her rebirth to this world.

As Brenda’s wish cremation has taken place. A private celebration will be held at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Lakeland Long Term Care would be appreciated.

You may send your donation directly through the charity’s web-site, or if you require assistance with your donation, please call us at 705-746-5855 Monday to Friday during regular office hours.
