BOB McMILLAN

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Robert James McMillan at his home near Parry Sound, in his 74th year.

Lovingly remembered by his brothers Michael (Marilyn), Tim (Karen) and his sister-in-law Melody (late Tom). Also missed by his aunt Lillian Dodd, and his former wife Barbara. Proud uncle of nephews and niece Bradley McMillan (Silvia), Dallas Gow (Kylene), Jayden Gow, Taryn McMillan (Greg Van Gastell) and Justin McMillan (fiance Stephanie). Remembered by his great nieces and nephew Adelaide, Charlotte and Langdon Gow, and Delia and Tess Van Gastell. Predeceased by his parents Albert (Mike) and Elsie (Dodd), sister Anne Gow (late Bill) and brother Tom.

Bob was born in Strathroy, receiving his formal education there and in Simcoe where he moved when he was eleven. During his working life with the CIBC in Mississauga he held several positions including bank manager and district manager. After retirement he left the city for the north to more easily enjoy his favourite pastime of fishing.

Cremation has taken place, with a private interment of ashes in Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe, at a later date.

Donations in Bob's memory may be made to a charity of choice.

My condolences to his family. Prior to his marriage, Bob & I were work mates and room mates for a number of years. I have so many fond memories of times spent with Bob that will remain with me for the rest of my life. What a super great guy. I will certainly miss him.

'Mac' was a well liked member of our little gang of 6 that grew up and went through high school together. After university, I moved out west to work for the Feds. Our group always tried to get together when we were visiting in town. Sadly, our number is down to three now as Wray and John have also passed away.
