BOB HOLMES

Robert “Bob” James Holmes passed away peacefully at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Saturday, July 13th, 2024. Age 77 years.

Loving father of Sherry (Rick), Bobbi-Jo (Brad), Whesley, and the late Shane. Cherished Papa of Megan (Cody), Samantha (Cameron), and Kelsey (Sean). Great-Papa of Kovey, Dallas, Finleigh, Beckett, Colton, and Rowyn. Dear brother of Jean, Anita, Doris Ann, Herb, and the late Eileen, Jack, Chuck, and Marg. Bob will be forever missed by Rosemary, Tracey, Kirk, and fondly remembered by his many other relatives, friends, and Costa Rica family.

He worked tirelessly as a heavy equipment operator from a young age until his body wouldn’t allow him to. He fought until the very end, not for him, but for us. He was one of a kind and there will never be another like him. He touched so many lives in a positive way. He was a huge presence everywhere he went, and most importantly the rock of our family. We will miss him so much. Until we meet again Dad/Papa, rest easy.

A special thank you to Dr. Willmore, Dr. Sheffie, nurse Kristine, the staff of the Intensive Care Unit, and Palliative Care team at the West Parry Sound Health Centre. Your outstanding care, compassion, and kindness, has been truly appreciated and will never be forgotten.

A Celebration of Bob’s Life will take place at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Condolences

To the family, While I myself didn't know Bob well, my late husband, Harvey Hewett did. He spoke highly of Bob, also saying that he was a hard, dedicated worker. I'm sure they will exchange some fishing stories in the sky and re-live cherished memories. Sending my deepest sympathies. Fawn (Ellis Hewett) Parks

I'm very sorry for your loss. A special man indeed. Loved his humor! I bought his family home on Emily St from him 22 yrs. ago and enjoyed every moment in the home till I sold. Bob was very kind to me during the sale. He will be missed by many.
