Aub Allsopp passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital with family at his bedside on December 10 2006 age 88 years.
Beloved husband to the late and gracious Jean Simpson for over 59 years. Amazing Dad to Jan and Dominic Di Clemente and most admired
Poppie to Julia Alana and Olivia.
Predeceased by his siblings Jean and Floyd
and survived by sister Joyce Spiker.
Aub will be forever remembered as a loyal servant to his country (decorated WW II veteran) and his community of MacTier where he built a legacy of outstanding leadership and contribution through his dedication as a builder of amateur sports – baseball curling and hockey for more than 60 years. Aubís lifetime achievements were recently honoured with his induction to The Bobby Orr Hall of Fame in Parry Sound Ontario. Visitation at MacTier United Church on Tuesday December 12th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 P.M. Service at the Church on Wednesday December 13th at 2:00 P.M..
