ART HEFFERTON
With heavy hearts, we announce that Arthur Hefferton passed away peacefully, at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Sunday May 4th, 2025 at the age of 75. His family was by his side.
Beloved and darling husband to his wife Barbara Hefferton (Hollett) of 46 years. Devoted and loving dad to his daughters Tamara Hefferton and Vanessa Hefferton. Dear brother to Lorne (Louise), the late Bernice (the late Ron), the late Cal (the late Ann) and Mabel (Harold). Dear son of the late Maxwell and Martha Hefferton. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, half siblings, in-laws, other family members, and friends.
Art was born and raised in Newtown Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland. He came to Parry Sound for a 3-day visit but decided to stay. He had a fulfilling career at Sun Life Insurance where he met some of his closest friends. Afterwards, he was able to enjoy 33 years of retirement during which time he loved to golf, collect stamps, garden, travel, and spend time with his family and friends. He was warm & welcoming with a kind heart and a witty sense of humour. Art will be forever remembered, forever missed and forever loved.
Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 81 James Street, Parry Sound, on Saturday, May 10th, 2025, from 12:00 noon -1:00 P.M. A service in celebration of Art’s life will take place in the Logan Memorial Chapel on Saturday, May 10th, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

I am so very sorry to hear that Art passed recently. I remember how sweet he was when I first met him in the hallways of Pitman Hall at Ryerson outside of the dorm room that I shared with Vanessa.
